Riding it Out Blog Tour

Synopsis from Goodreads:

One woman

One man

An empty bed and breakfast

A summer storm

One night they'll never forget - so they thought...

When my aunt passed away and left me her dilapidated bed and breakfast it was all so surreal. I hadn't been back to that beach in many years, and the idea of revisiting left me sad and vulnerable.

I never planned on having guests. In fact, I just wanted to close up the place and sell it, so that I could move on with my life.

Then the storm happened.

Taken by surprise, I planned on waiting for it to pass. The house creaked and the power went out. That's when someone knocked on the door.

He was a stranger, dripping wet, cold, and looking for shelter. I couldn't turn him away...

What happened next between us opened new doors, changing everything I thought I wanted for myself.

The only question is if I can trust him, or will his secrets destroy it all?

The Librarian Principle Blog Tour

The Librarian Principle
Helena Hunting

Amazon  |  iTunes  |  B&N  |  Kobo

Summary from Goodreads

Annaliese Harper knows that one tiny mistake can jeopardize a career before it’s even begun. Letting your boss find the extensive collection of porn on your personal laptop is one way. Sleeping with him is another. Liese manages to do both.

As the new librarian at a prestigious small-town private high school, Liese is drawn to her sexy, charismatic principal, Ryder Whitehall—an attraction she refuses to acknowledge given their relationship and her recent liberation from a delusional ex-boyfriend.

Liese is certain Ryder’s flirtation is the product of her sex-deprived imagination—until he discovers her digital porn stash during working hours and demands a private meeting. Behind closed doors, their attraction explodes into a dangerous, passionate affair that not only threatens their jobs and reputations, but most of all, their hearts.

My Review

I loved Ryder and Liese's story! These two were made for each other and nothing was keeping them apart - romantically and physically!
Every garbage can needs a lid.
Even thought Liese and Ryder couldn't go public with their relationship at first, they manage to make it through some challenges and get their happily ever after that they deserve!

Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars! The Librarian Principle was a well written, steamy and romantic story. It's available now so get your copy today and ring in the New Year with Ryder and Liese!

Pushing the Boundaries Blog Tour

Pushing the Boundaries
By Jessica Prince

Living in the small town of Cloverleaf, watching her friends settle down one by one, all Lizzy wants is her own happily ever after. But with each failed date she starts to believe that finding the one man who will look at her like she’s his reason for living is practically impossible.

Trevor has had feelings for Lizzy since stepping foot into Cloverleaf, but despite their intense chemistry when they first met, the feisty little redhead friend-zoned him before he ever had a chance to make his move. After watching her date every loser in town he’s finally decided enough is enough. Thanks to a drunken weekend in Vegas, he finally has the one thing he’s always wanted…Lizzy as his wife.

But just because he caught her doesn’t mean he’ll get to keep her. Can Trevor and Lizzy push the boundaries of friendship and build a relationship that can truly last, or will they crash and burn before they ever get off the ground?

Review

Pushing the Boundaries is a contemporary romance and it is the third book in The Pushing the Boundaries Series (Picking up the Pieces and Rising from the Ashes). This is the first novel in the series I've read, so they can be read out of order without being lost.

I loved Jessica's quick and witty writing and dialogue. It made Pushing the Boundaries a fast and entertaining read.

Lizzy and Trevor are absolutely ADORABLE! Their hot tempers make them like 2 firecrackers which leads to some steamy scenes!

Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars! After reading Pushing the Boundaries I want to read Emmy & Luke and Savannah & Jeremy's stories. Jessica is a great story teller and really brings real characters to life.

About the Author

Born and raised around Houston Texas, Jessica spent most of her life complaining about the heat, humidity, and all around pain in the ass weather. It was only as an adult that she quickly realized the cost of living in Houston made up for not being able to breathe when she stepped outside. That's why God created central air, after all.

Jessica is the mother of a perfect little boy--she refuses to accept that he inherited her attitude and sarcastic nature no matter what her husband says.

In addition to being a wife and mom, she's also a wino, a coffee addict, and an avid lover of all types of books--romances still being her all time favs. Her husband likes to claim that reading is her obsession but she just says it's a passion...there's a difference. Not that she'd expect a boy to undertand.

Jessica has been writing since she was a little girl, but thankfully grew out of drawing her own pictures for her stories before ever publishing her first book. Because an artist she is not.

BEHIND HER EYES by A.L. Jackson

SAVING ME by Molly McAdams

FOULING OUT by Tiffany King
Working at a sports bar, Courtney has become a pro at sidestepping propositions from arrogant jocks—which makes her a more elusive catch for campus basketball star Dalton than he expected. But when he falls for the saucy waitress, Dalton will have to rethink his game plan to prove he’s not the jerk Courtney expects.

BENEATH YOUR LAYERS by Christina Lee
In order to ace her fashion internship, Chloe must team up with local college dropout and set builder, Blake—much to her chagrin. But after some "hands-on" experience, Chloe will have to ask herself if Blake factors into her carefully laid plans…

My Review

What a neat idea - having 4 authors write 4 different stories about 4 college roommates!

I was already a fan of Christina Lee, so I was excited to read her story as well as learn about 3 new authors.

I really liked how the four stories were intertwined, yet each roommate had a different situation.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Stars. Each story was only about 100 pages so things felt rushed at times. I really liked the four roommate format and reading three new authors styles!

Buy When We Met on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBooks, Kobo.

A.L. Jackson:
A.L. Jackson is the New York Times bestselling author of Take This Regret and Lost to You, as well as other contemporary romance titles, including Come to Me Quietly, Come to Me Softly, Pulled, When We Collide, and If Forever Comes.

She first found a love for writing during her days as a young mother and college student.  She filled the journals she carried with short stories and poems used as an emotional outlet for the difficulties and joys she found in day-to-day life.

Years later, she shared a short story she’d been working on with her two closest friends and, with their encouragement, this story became her first full length novel. A.L. now spends her days writing in Southern Arizona where she lives with her husband and three children. Her favorite pastime is spending time with the ones she loves.

Loving Eden Blog Tour

Loving Eden
T.A. Foster

Have you ever thought of packing up everything you own and moving halfway across the country?

I’m talking about leaving your entire life behind—friends, family, school—with no turning back. No? Me either, but that was before a week of spring break changed my life forever. Before I did something I never thought I’d do at twenty-two. Before I fell in love with Grey.

Sometimes happily ever after isn't always what you think it will be.

My Review

Even though Loving Eden is the 2nd novel in the Kissing Eden series, I didn't feel lost or left out. Loving Eden can be read as a stand alone novel.

Eden has packed up her life and moved across the county to Texas to be with Grey. This is a HUGE step in any relationship and I appreciated how Grey and Eden have real issues, it's not all hot sex and playing house. They have to grow and adapt to living together, and to making decisions together.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars. Eden and Grey deal with the surprise of Mason and fall more in love. Loving Eden had a happy ending but I hope Foster is planning on a third novel! I can't wait to see what's next for Eden and Grey.

Buy Loving Eden on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords or iTunes.

About the Author

T.A. Foster once spent a month long spring break on South Padre Island, where she soaked in the Texas sun, beach, and learned what real Texas country music is. Sometimes fiction does spring from reality.

She grew up catching rays and chasing waves along the North Carolina Outer Banks and now resides in the state with her adventurous pilot husband, two children, and two canine kiddos.

T.A. has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in Educational Psychology from Texas A&M University. When she’s not chasing her two-legged and four-legged children or trying to escape for date night, you can find her reading, writing, or planning her next beach trip.

Unrequited Blog Tour

Unrequited
by Emily Shaffer
Release Date: 09/23/14
Swoon Romance

Summary from Goodreads:
In the town of Belle Ridge there are doctors, lawyers and teachers... but there is only one vampire. Will Leighton has become an expert in making a life for himself amongst the unsuspecting small-town inhabitants, as the high school history teacher. He has spent hundreds of years crafting an identity and routine that make him feel almost human, but he is always missing that important final element, love.

Ashton Wallace is beautiful, smart, and angry. She was forced into an eternal existence, and now her family has moved her away from everything and everyone she knows. In Belle Ridge she is supposed to finish high school and start her life again, but how do you make plans for the next several centuries?

Will has never met another of his kind, and is immediately intrigued by Ashton. He longs to show her that the perceived vampire lifestyle, so popular in storybooks, is far from reality...but will she let him be a friend and guide in this new existence? Can Ashton accept Will into her life, or will she be led astray by a dark stranger with whom she shares an unknown connection?

My Review

I am a HUGE vampire book fan. I grew up reading The Vampire Diaries by L.J Smith and The Last Vampire by Christopher Pike. In my mind that's the Vampire World I am used to. Vampires drink blood, they have supernatural powers and an aversion to the sun.

Unrequited is a new spin on vampires. They no longer need blood to survive and have no real issues in the sun. And until Will meets Ashton he believes he is the only vampire and is destined to live forever ALONE.

Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars. Unrequited had a slow start, and it almost felt like 3 books in one. I enjoyed that most of the vampires were good, not out drinking blood and murdering innocent people. The book leaves us with a cliffhanger (almost quite literally) but Emily is working on a sequel.

Buy Unrequited on Amazon.

About the Author

Whether writing stories to entertain her younger siblings, or typing up an essay for a class, Emily Shaffer has been a writer for as long as she can remember.  Her stories may have changed from talking cartoon frogs to angsty young adults, but her goal to write a compelling story remains the same.  When not writing, she lives in Nashville and enjoys all the music, food, and excitement that city has to offer.  Her first novel, the well-received chick-lit title That Time of the Month was self-published on Amazon in 2012.  Her latest novel, as the others before, are fueled by diet soda and pie.

Screwdrivered Review

Screwdrivered
by Alice Clayton

I wasn't sure if I would like Viv. When we first met her in Rusty Nailed I wasn't a fan. I may have judged her on her appearance. Well you know what they say - Never judge a book by it's cover - because I love Viv! She's a romantic and a bookaholic!

I think Ms. Clayton could write an instruction manual and I would read it! (Because you know it would be HOT!)

I love Viv's inner romance novel dialogue. But she is setting herself up to be disappointed -  real life romance can be quite different than romance novels.

I can relate to Viv, having done my fair share of home renovations. It's both exciting and exhausting. And she has a hot librarian to help!

I had no idea what to do with a nice guy. I'd never dated a clean-cut, Backstreet Boy type; I'd always stayed in the heavy metal/alternative, dirty, tattooed-boy section.

Rating 4.5 out of 5 Stars! I really enjoy all of Alice Clayton's books, and Screwdrivered  was no exception. This story was all about Viv - growing up, figuring out what she wants, and figuring out what she likes in a guy versus what she needs in one.

I can't wait to read the next book in The Cockatil Series - Mai Tai'd Up!

Buy Screwdrivered on Amazon.

Indiscretion: Vol. Four Cover Reveal

About INDISCRETION: Volume Four

The image was seared into my mind. Imprinted. Emblazoned. Etched.

Did I blame him for what I saw? Or myself, for allowing him the ability to cause the pain coursing through me?

Betrayal was a weapon that cut to the core—the ‘what ifs’ the infection that festered in the wound.

I’d thought we’d had roadblocks thrown in front of us before. Damn. Those would have seemed like mere speed bumps if I’d seen what was coming…

Little did I know that what was headed our way would prove to be the biggest test of all—putting impossible choices in front of us. None of which seemed to lead to a happy ending in which the two of us were together.
